We are currently seeking a Site Plan Designer to join our Pickering office.

The successful candidate must be dedicated, dependable and detail oriented. The position involves providing assistance, such as grading and servicing design to Professional Engineers and other technical staff on site plan projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011.

The preferred candidate will be a graduate of a civil engineering or technology program, with a minimum five years of civil design related experience, and an understanding of the municipal approvals process for site plans, as well as the following qualifications/skills:

  • computer excellence in AutoCAD Civil 3D with proven skills in surface building, point manipulation, alignments, pipe networks and plan production tools;
  • experience in MS Office;
  • strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; and
  • strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

The position will involve carrying out the following tasks:

  • working with project managers and senior design staff on grading and servicing designs for site plans;
  • preparing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 dynamic design models;
  • manipulation of AutoCAD Civil 3D models to generate detailed engineering drawings including plan, profile, and section drawings;
  • assisting team leaders in engineering analysis including earthmoving volumetric calculations and preparing exhibits for technical communications and proposal documents;
  • proactively advance design and modeling techniques to support designers, project managers and technicians;
  • coordination of drawings with other design team members and sub consultants; and coordination of drawing filing.

We are currently seeking a Civil 3D Design Assistant to join our Newmarket Office. The successful candidate must be dedicated, dependable and detail oriented.  The position involves providing assistance to Professional Engineers and other technical staff on a variety of engineering projects and working on design tasks using Civil 3D as well as other general office assignments.

The position will involve carrying out the following tasks:

  1. preparation of detailed engineering drawings for municipal, development and solid waste management projects
  2. preparing plan, profile and section drawings and earthwork volumetric calculations
  3. preparing presentation graphics and report figures
  4. coordination of drawings with other design team members and subconsultants
  5. coordination of drawing filing

The following qualifications, experience and skills are required:

  1. diploma/certificate in Civil Technology or related program
  2. computer excellence in Civil 3D with proven skills in surface building, point manipulation, alignments, corridors, pipe networks, subassemblies and plan production tools. 
  3. experience in MS Office
  4. strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  5. strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

 

We are currently seeking an AutoCAD Leader to manage and supervise the drafting team in our Winnipeg office. The successful applicant will be a graduate of a civil engineering technology program with ten to fifteen years of experience. Working under the direction of Project Managers/Engineers, you would be responsible for the production of detailed designs, drawings, reports and engineering studies associated with civil engineering work arising from various projects for our private and municipal client base. You would also be responsible for the coordination of the drafting team, workload distribution, and providing guidance and assistance to the team on a daily basis. Necessary skills include experience in civil design, drawing set-up and production, strong communication skills and computer skills including proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Word and Excel. Experience in survey and GIS would be considered an asset. Membership with the Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba is preferred.

We are currently seeking an intermediate CAD Operator/Designer to join our team of dedicated professionals in our Winnipeg office.

Working under the direction of Project Managers/Engineers, you would be responsible for the detailed design, drawing production, reports and engineering studies associated with civil engineering work for various projects for our private and municipal client base.

The right candidate will be a graduate of a civil engineering technology program and will ideally possess 5-10 years of civil design related experience. This opportunity will offer the successful candidate the chance to be an integral part of the design team working on a variety of multi-disciplined engineering projects.

Preferred skill sets would include: survey, civil design, and a good working knowledge of drawing set-up and production. You will be a mature and confident individual who is very technically savvy, and is effective as a behind the scenes supporter.  Applicants must have strong communication skills, be well organized, analytical, detail oriented and have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment while taking direction from various designers and managers.  Computer skills include proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Lotus Notes, Word and Excel.

While this would be primarily a CAD role, the candidate would require the desire to help in other areas and provide assistance outside their primary scope of work to the Project Managers.

Membership with the Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM) is preferred.
